From My Kitchen Recipe Album

Another great design by Kathy Files of Paper Phenomenon, she's "phenomenal". Kathy's designs are not only fantastic looking and functional, they are also much easier than they look.
The paper is DCWV Nana's Kitchen Stack and the Cricut cartridge for the cover is "From My Kitchen"

Cricut Cartridge Storage

After trying various storage ideas (first I just had the boxes on a shelf, then I moved to the Plano Flip Up thingy, then to a binder with baseball card pages - that one was a really bad idea!) I think I have finally found something that works for me. (I have a Gypsy but I still use DS quite a bit, so I need easy access to my cartridges)

Here's a view from the side
and here it is from above

I bought a clear flat storage box @ The Container Store and made boxes for each of my cartridges.  I got the idea for the boxes from Okie's blog (okieladybugsscrapnmore.blogspot.com WOW that's a long blog name!)  I made a few adjustments so that the labels were visible from above. The box will hold up to 84 cartridges and it fits perfectly on the shelf above my Cricut.

these are the boxes for the cartridges

Exploding Envelope Box

This is my take on the Exploding Envelope Box inspired by Laura (Following the Paper Trail).

I used her instructions for the "paper" version (not the envelope version).

Finally Finished the Back Pack Mini

I had a really hard time when I was attaching the pages to the album cover. Finally I just added a couple more pages and it worked OK.

In the end I was pretty happy with how it turned out.  Kathy's classes are great!!

Brad Setter??

When I first saw this tool it seemed a little silly...do I really need a tool to set a brad?
But, honestly, after I tried it, it really is very helpful.  I don't know how many times I've been poked under the fingernail trying to open a tiny brad, this tool does it for you.  Is seems simple, and it is.  It's made by We R Memory Keepers and sells for about $6.99, but I've seen it at most of the places that have coupons.
